Aashiyana Arts provide high quality inclusive arts within education, community and
corporate establishments.

Aashiyana Arts is a brand which aims to promote diverse performing arts be it Indian cultural heritage and mythology through dance, music, drama, interactive storytelling, art, language and costume, in a fun and unique way. Aashiyana Arts use popular art forms of Bhangra (Punjabi folk dance), Bollywood (Indian film industry), Freestyle Bhangra, creative dance, amongst others to educate learners. Our workshops and sessions are fun, exciting, interactive and a great way to learn about another culture. 

Aashiyana Arts visit all types of venues from schools, children’s centres, libraries, universities, community centres, hospitals, elderly day care, national & international festivals, theatres, art galleries, public spaces, special educational needs establishments to lot's more.  
Bespoke packages can be made to suit your requirements.  
Creativity is at the heart of the organisation. We want learners to have fun, enjoy themselves, use their imaginations, to be creative and express themselves.



The organisation is based in Solihull, West Midlands, England and was founded in 2008 by Sohan Kailey an accomplished Performing Artist, Dancer, Entertainer, Actor and Creative Practitioner. Sohan has been involved in the performing arts for many years and has worked with various organisations to engage audiences in dance and performance. Sohan is always looking at creative ways of delivering his workshops and activities in an entertaining way. As a young boy he grew up watching Indian Film Cinema (also known as Bollywood) and Broadway musicals.
From his love of dance, music, theatre and cinema he decided to merge these exciting industry's together.

Born in Wolverhampton, his parents come from the Punjab state of India. As an artist he wants to share the cultural origins, experiences and century old traditions with the wider community as well as promoting diverse dance.

Sohan regularly provides workshops and entertainment for the Birmingham Central Library (Centre for the Child). He has performed and facilitated workshops at numerous world music festivals as well as working with corporate clients.
His current work includes a Wellbeing project with the Speight of the Art Foundation and Birmingham Heartlands Hospital NHS.
